Yesterday Nokia made quite a splash with the N9 and today they threw a bomb our way. They started the day by introducing the C2-03 dual-SIM mobile. It’s supposed to be a “Touch and Type” phone, as it combines a slide-out standard numeric keypad with a touchscreen which sounds pretty nifty. It’s dual SIM feature is the selling point as not too many impressive phones have this feature. They are tapping into this market well. You can combine your work and personal numbers into one phone which is very convenient. You can place a new SIM in using the “Easy Swap” feature without worrying about re-booting each time. Other features include 400 hours of standby, 5 hours talk time and 35 hours of music from the battery, with only 10MB of internal memory, expandable up to 32GB with microSD. You can also expect Nokia Maps. It will set you back by about $100 when it finally hits the stores.

Much has been said and speculated about iPhone 5. So we have something so say too. As I read somewhere Apple‘s latest handset might not be an iPhone 4S after all but an Apple iPhone 5. Not just that apparently, it may also come with a new startling design. Not much like the current hot property iPhone 4 but more like the iPod touch. The website was also pointing to an Apple event at the beginning of August, aiming to get the iPhone 5 into stores by the end of that month. Isn’t that great if true?

Nokia Connection in Singapore witnessed the predicted announcement of the Nokia N9. It’s a pretty impressive phone that features a 3.9-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen, 8MP Carl Zeiss wide-angle camera with dual LED flash, 16GB or 64GB storage, and more. You won’t find any front-facing buttons in this unibody polycarbonate material. You simply double click on the phone to unlock it. Other things you will find here are the latest Nokia Maps with free, voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation for walking and driving. The phone looks pretty nice too. Nokia definitely needs a new phone like this to revive its brand value in the market. The phone might be a hit with the industrial design, the all-screen user experience, and the expressive Qt framework for developers. Unfortunately, there is no word on the pricing yet.

We are all aware that Orange always tries to come up with new ways for people to charge their phones at the Glastonbury Festival. For their 2011 solution, they have introduced a prototype t-shirt which powers mobiles while festival-goers watch bands in action. The funky t-shirt makes use of noise-responsive technology for a fast charge when you plug the phone into it. They will have a little experiment going at the festival to see which acts are the “best to charge to” around the Spirit of 71 stage. So make sure that you are a part of this innovative and fun experience!

Just because a phone isn’t ‘smart’ or doesn’t have Android isn’t indication that it stinks. In fact, if it’s this Fujitsu F-022 phone it will be as fragrant as can be. Let’s take them one at a time; the Mix walkman is obviously all about the music with the media player and in addition to that usual Walkman features including song ID, stereo Bluetooth, music ringtones, and the company’s PlayNow track download service. The Txt Pro as the name suggests a slide-out keyboard for your messaging needs. The features common to both are Wi-Fi, a media player, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a MicroSD card slot, a personal organizer, integrated Facebook and Twitter apps, PC modem support, and a 3-inch capacitive touch screen.

If you want a stylish, multifunction watch with a smartphone OS and SDK that increases its features and allows for endless possibilities, look no further. The watch has Android and works with most Smartphones including iPhone. I’m Watch is like your phones secretary. Once paired, it can do many things.
