Love love stories? Well there are love stories and then there is the love story of a wonderful man and loving husband Pedro Ureta. Not only does he love his wife dearly even after she’s gone he has actually planted a forest that looks like a guitar. His wife Graciela, was very fond of nature and often spoke about beginning work on such a project but before she could realise her dream she passed away leaving that dream to be completed by her husband. Making sure that the area mimics a guitar in every possible way was an ordeal but the results are fantastic.

Nothing has captured our imaginations in recent times quite like Instagram has. We use it almost obsessively. Why confine your beautiful pictures to Instagram’s mobile apps and permalinks? The people over at D2M have created the Instacube, a digital photo frame that displays a live feed of your Instagram photos. All you have to do is connect it to your home wireless network and then log in with your Instagram account. It so easy! You can bypass a photo or freeze the screen on a favorite using the 6.5-inch touchscreen. There are only three simple buttons – a power, a favorite, and a feed toggle button. They have made sure to develop Instacube with a 600×600 LCD touch screen display, so that you will not lose any picture quality when it blows up to fit the large frame. It is truly wireless in that it works on a rechargeable battery, which means you can take it anywhere with you. It currently runs on Android; however, D2M plans to potentially open it up to developers.

The Ultimate Pregnant Mother Costume makes me barf. I just find it way too repulsive looking though people with a wacky sense of humor may dig this. All said and done its a weird idea that we would like to share with our readers especially cause it makes for a good Halloween Outfit; ask the lady who wore this on halloween and became a celebrity of sorts in her neighbourhood with the little baby hands craving for chocolate from, well, inside the womb (how freaked is that?).

Remember those vintage sci-fi movies. The future always involved brightly shining weird objects, and for some reason, bald men dressed in unitards! While we can’t promise the bald men, we do have something that reminds us of these movies with their bright LED light. The hi-Cable lighting from hi-Fun is an awesome new iPod, iPhone and iPad charging cable. It is a sensational new Dock/USB charging cable with an electroluminescence LED. This special LED goes on when you are charging your device, and makes the whole cable light up in a soft glow. From what we can understand, there is no functional quality to this extra light, except to make everything look oh-so-pretty! The idea is that it is “simulating the energy flux moving from the power source to your device”.

Designed by Steve Hollinger, in Boston, the Squito is a patented ball that includes multiple cameras. With the color pattern of the Chinese Yin-Yang, the ball can take both video and still images and the pictures can be stitched together to form a seamless image thanks to its multiple cameras. Hollinger is hoping to make use of this for reconnaissance and search and rescue. But at the same time, maybe this technology can also be used for balls that are used in different sports to give that extra edge to your watching experience.

Have you ever dreamed of taking a photo of the top of a tree, the inside of a bird’s nest, the smoke rising out of a chimney, or the girls’ bathroom on the second floor (you naughty pervert!)? Taiwanese gear manufacturer Fishbone has launched a crazy new tripod that will actually make all your dreams of scaling new photographic heights come true – literally! The Tree-pod, also known as the Zhezhi tripod, is designed for capturing photos or videos from way above the ground. It can reach 3.3m high, weighs about 13 kg and folds to about 90 cm long. It is made up of a durable aluminum alloy. Thank god it is so strong; as to get your camera up there and position the tripod head, you actually have to scale it like a ladder. It comes with attachable rungs that allow you to climb it. Try not to kill the birds in the sky in the process of capturing your “bird’s eye” shot.

I can’t believe my eyes! Ladies, who would have thought the day would come when we would witness the unholy marriage of two of our favorite sins – bags and wine! Imagine walking into a boring get together with a chic little bag in your hand. Except you have a little secret – the purse is actually a wine container! Swedish company Vernissage has designed boxed wine packaging, aptly titled ‘Bag-in-Bag wine’, designed to look like fashion handbags. This ingenious idea has been around for a while, in Sweden, Japan, China and parts of Europe, but is only just making its way to the US. Luxury wine expert Takis Soldatos paired up with the bag designer, Sofia Bloomberg, and came up with the Vernissage brand. While boxed wines generally have a bad rep for being “cheap”, these bagged wines are a classy little twist on alternative packaging. They include a little tap on the side which dispenses the elixir.

It doesn’t really float; more of a suspension, but it creates an amazing optical illusion and gives a surreal floating impression. The floating bed in Wang family’s home is something that the kids really enjoy. Although it is unclear what is used to hold the bed in air, it could be some sort of a retractable pillar, or pole, or even some sort of a rope. The bed can completely be hidden saving space on the floor. The bed neatly slides into the ceiling and looks extremely elegant with the blue upholstery and ceiling lights. Parents would however be skeptical of standing right below it and considering it carries the Made in China stamp.
