What do floppy diskettes and dinosaurs have in common? They are both extinct. My notebook doesn’t even have a floppy drive anymore! This is why, I was pretty surprised when I found out that floppy’s are back in action. However, this time they go on your wrist and not in your computer. Yep, they are back with a bang as Floppy diskette bracelets. While I’m not geeky enough to accessorize my wardrobe with floppy bracelets, I’m sure the new breed of geeky girls will love this fashion accessory. It is designed by jewelry maker Oxx-An Alleweireldt in the form of big floppy disc made flowers and sewn on to cotton bands. I don’t want to put this one down, but according to my taste, they look hideous like something straight out of the 80′s.
Each floppy disc bracelet is being sold for $110(ha ha yeah right) and smaller versions are going for $87. Seriously, it seems to me that the uglier the item, the costlier it is.
