Marks & Spencer makes eco friendly lingerie

We all are trying to do our bit for the planet and we seek for eco friendly options even in our lingerie! Marks & Spencer aids us in this by launching the high street’s first ever carbon neutral bra. Going green was never this hot. The awesome Autograph Leaves lingerie collection features four styles of bra, three knickers and a set of suspenders. It appears that The Carbon Trust Footprinting Certification Company, takes into account each item’s complete life cycle – from component manufacture to transportation and even the energy customers use washing and drying their underwear. There is the retail chain’s eco friendly factory in Sri Lanka where it was produced. The innovative renewable energy features and reduced waste initiatives implemented at this site have reduced the carbon intensity of the energy used by an estimated 33% in comparison to typical factory production. This is a great initiative taken by M&S. They are trying to better these efforts and make the lingerie even more green. Hopefully other chains will walk to same route. The Autograph Leaves collection is available online from the 13th April and hit the stores stores from this weekend. Shop for lingerie without feeling guilty now!
