The “Hi Five” concept LED watch: Funky play of light and colors

The idea behind concept watches is to find new and unique ways to tell time. Lloyd from Australia seems to have hit the nail on the head! The concept LED watch design, called “Hi Five”, is inspired by the way light falls on the grooves of a vinyl record. Consequently, this watch shows time in a way that the 4 digits are subtly displayed around a ‘record’ so as to simulate light reflecting on a record’s grooves. It sounds confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it is really easy. The biggest USP of the watch is its cool retro look. The display is a square LED with a record pattern. The strap is made from animal friendly material and the LED display is “always on”. It comes with a choice of several different colored straps, either plain or with a funky record pattern, and the LED display comes in different colors too.
The Hi Five concept LED watch is rechargeable via USB connected to your computer. Amazingly, it also doubles as a MP3 player! This concept watch is sure to appeal to anyone who is a little funky, quirky and just that much retro. Groovy!
