Duracell teams up with Starbucks for a Wireless Charging Coup
The exciting CES is coming to an end, but we are forming some really fond gadget memories for the year. And, here is one of my favorite gadgets from the entire stock that combines my two dearest things iPhone and Coffee. Duracell’s latest move to promote its Powermat wireless contact charger involves my favorite Salted Caramel Frappachino. Duracell has teamed up with Starbucks to launch a with a wireless charging receiver dongle that is compatible with any Apple 30-pin, Lightning, or Micro-USB at your nearest coffee outlet. A service, which was available only at the Silicon Valley outlet, will now be installed in various outlets providing wireless charging receivers to those attendees who wish to charge up their phones. It’s definitely good news for ‘Beautiful Existence’, a woman claims to have eaten nothing but Starbucks food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the entire year. Starbucks will install charging mats on their tables. The units are round with a spindle like a CD-Stomper machine. The customer plugs a receiver ring into the phone, center of the ring drops around the spindle of the mat and the phone begins charging.
Together the two companies are shaping the wireless charging revolution under the Duracell Powermat brand. So, next time you plan to recharge yourself with a cup of coffee, boost your phone’s battery too.
