Lenovo announces the launch of the next generation ThinkPad Tablet 2
Already being touted as Lenovo’s answer to Microsoft’s Surface, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is making waves for all the right reasons. Powered by Windows 8 operating system, the all new ThinkPad will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1,366-by-768 resolution and touch support for fingers and stylus. At just under 10mm thickness, it is slightly thicker than the iPad, but considerably lighter at 1.3 pounds. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be outfitted with an Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB solid-state drive (SSD). It comes complete with 4G LTE internet, 8 megapixel front and 2 megapixel rear cams for Skype and taking photos, full-size USB and HDMI ports, and the option for a digitizer, fingerprint reader, and dockable keyboard. You can also hook up a keyboard or mouse via USB or Bluetooth.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 tablet is expected to be available after Microsoft launches Windows 8 in October. Lenovo is also keeping the pricing of the Tablet to themselves for the time being.
