Wi-Fi blocking wallpaper ensures network security
Annoyed of neighbors who take a load off your Wi-Fi network? Then a new product in the form of a silver-crystal coated wallpaper developed by scientists from the institute Polytechnique Grenoble INP and the Centre Technique du Papier, may be of interest to you. The wallpaper has silver crystals arranged in such a way that they are able to block certain wireless frequencies. While most people would obviously go for password protection, a few others might prefer an open network for convenience, or whatever reason that only they deem fit.
The silver snowflake speckled wall covering is being worked upon for clear coating with protective power equal to that of the paper. The takers might want to wait until it is released in 2013.
