The fact that Chinese phone/clone maker Goophone are best known for their knock-off iPhone and Samsung products isn’t hidden anymore. But what’s new with Goophone is their very own, latest low-cost phone design like the super affordable Goophone X1. A Goophone design should predictably be easy on the pocket, but who could’ve guessed it will go the whole hog and also be the world’s most affordable quad-core phone. The X1 will come equipped with a 4.7-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display, 1.3 mega-pixel front and 2 mega-pixel rear cameras, 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor, 512mb RAM, dual SIM support, 1800mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
The features are pretty satisfactory but its understandable if all you want to know is how much the worlds most affordable quad-core phone set you back. The Goophone X1 will be sold at 499 Yuan in China ($81) and for a slightly higher $97 you can buy it off contract. No word on an international release, but the good guess is that GooPhone X1 will be available through certain online resellers.
