It’s about time! After a long and impatient wait for every Simpsons fan, it seems that ‘The Simpsons’ theme park is all set to open at the Universal Studios Orlando! The large theme park has been designed to look like the iconic town of Springfield, which is home to the Simpsons and the numerous other characters that give life to the show. At the centre will be the already-existing simulator Simpsons Ride, which opened at the park in 2008. Built around this are attractions like the new ride Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, Moe’s Tavern, Lard Lad Donuts store and the Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. Get ready to munch on goodies like Krusty-certified meat sandwich at Krusty Burger, sample the catch of the day at the Frying Dutchman, get a slice at Luigi’s Pizza, and wash it all down with a cold bottle of Duff Beer (what else?).
The Simpsons theme park at Universal Studios Orlando will open to the public sometime this summer. I can’t wait to experience a day in the lives of my favorite characters of all time. Jeffrey Godsick, president of Fox Consumer Products, explains, “Fans will literally be able to live and breathe Springfield as they visit the statue of Jebediah, enjoy a Krusty Burger and have a seat at Moe’s Tavern.”
