The world’s largest McDonalds to soon open in London
The London Olympics are fast approaching, and it is expected to be one of the biggest extravaganzas of the decade. People from all over the world will be flocking there in droves. McDonald’s has a long-standing relationship with the Olympics, and is the official restaurant of the games. They are expecting a crowd of more than 3 million during the games, and so are building “the world’s largest McDonald’s”. They are building a temporary 3000sqm pop-up store in Stratford. This branch will have will have seating for 1,500 customers and will employ more than 2,000 staff. It will be built in time for the opening ceremony on July 27 and will be taken down after the end of the Paralympics on September 9. This mammoth structure will stretch over two floors and will be the length of half an American Football field.

The World’s Biggest McDonald’s, is being constructed entirely out of recycled material. They estimate that they will have to serve 50,000 Big Macs and 180,000 portions of fries over six weeks. A tremendous 12,000 people were “auditioned” for positions in this prestigious burger joint, and were even put through a rigorous boot camp! Sounds like they had to do more than the athletes did themselves!
