Sky-high skyscrapers define the city’s skyline. They make for amazing architectural structures and also attractions. No one could’ve imagined a skyscraper to turn into a vintage video game. Light shows and LED displays on skyscrapers are passé but this building in Sao Paulo, Brazil has been transformed into a massive screen for pedestrians to use to play video games. The brainchild of Dr. Frank Lee, the co-founder and co-director of the Game Design Program at Drexel University is actually a 437-foot tall building turned into one of the largest video game screens in the world. Pong tournament will run from April 19th to April 24th. The players will be battling it out on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum, across the Schuylkill River.

Everytime, I look at Serena Vander Woodsen from Gossip Girl, I sigh! Not only because she is drop dead gorgeous, but also because she wears the most amazing clothes, one can imagine. Don’t you sometimes wonder what your favorite stars are wearing, when you are browsing through channels? Well, Shazam is here for rescue. The app behind identifying cool music, now wants to foray into fashion with a new app that will identify TV Characters clothing. While we were thinking that Stealth Wear that saves you from Prying Eyes and Constant Surveillance is a cool idea, this one is just the opposite, which might get you into surveillance for wearing cool clothes. In the Shazam clothes app users can tag TV shows, which will pull up content on the show such as trivia, cast bios and merchandise. Currently, image recognition isn’t functional, but the unique sound content on TV output (at time of broadcast) would be enough to drive users to the relevant Shazam content on their mobile device. Viewers can access a cast list, details of the soundtrack, read tweets from the actors, check out the script, and buy onscreen product and a whole lot more on their individual mobile devices without disrupting anyone else’s viewing.

We are huge fans of Barbie Dolls. Maybe not as crazy about them as this guy, but definitely love them, especially in all their different avatars, like the Superhero Batman and Catwoman Barbie and The Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch of the West Barbie Doll. However, what all these dolls have in common is their immaculate appearance and impossibly perfect features. Throwing everything that we have ever known about Barbie to the wind is artist Eddi Aguirre. He has created an art project that features the au naturel side of Barbie. He strips her of all her makeup and imagines what she may look like bare faced. The resultant look is a tired looking older doll with bags under her eyes and puffy cheeks. Not content with just this much, he also gives our favorite doll some braces and pimples. We aren’t sure what the message behind this transformation is, but love it or hate it, you have to admit that they are powerful images.
