Most expensive Hello Kitty Doghouse for $32,000

most-expensive-hello-kitty-doghouse.jpg
It's time to welcome the Hello Kitty fad again, but this time she's coming big. A luxury doghouse was created in 2007 for a sales event in a department store in Tokyo. The doghouse is large enough for a Chihuahua or Terrier and is decorated with 7600 crystal beads. Sanrio's luxury couch flaunts its area of excellence, by furnishing the pillow of the couch with a cute, Hello Kitty face. Seems like Cats and Dogs can live in harmony after all! The weeklong sales event included products created in the previous years and aimed at adult Kitty fans. A Kitty themed "i" minicar from Mitsubishi Motors Co. and a Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster Electric guitar worth $20,460 (sold last year) were part of the event.

Yahama's BODiBEAT: In Sync with steps

yamaha-bodibeat.jpg
You sure have your iPod to give you company during your early morning workouts, but does it have music that aligns with your steps, certainly not. Yamaha's BODiBEAT is one such thing that gives you new tunes that automatically sync with your steps, giving you a new reason to thump a foot instead of the car. The only sad part is the bumpy price-utility ratio of this player, at a hefty $300, it provides only 512MB of space and 12-hours of battery life. I like the concept, only if it were executed efficiently. It's shipping now, so you can take a crack at it, if you don't mind the price tag.

USB Hub Monster will not lurk in your room

usb-monster.jpg
Check out the ugliest USB hub ever! At first I thought, ugh what an ugly black monster, but then maybe it looks a bit like a black spider or an octopus. Then it suddenly hit me that it looks like the harvesters from the Matrix! The seven tentacles and the USB ports. This seems so pointless to me. If you are going to create something pointless, at least make sure that it is easy on the eyes. It just looks like someone hurriedly put some fabric and wires together and 'Voila' this piece of geeky art was ready.

Online beauty contest for nuns is arranged by an Italian priest

nun_beauty-pageant.jpg I know some people find nuns irresistibly hot and for those people, this contest is going to be the best thing since sliced bread. An Italian priest Antonio Rungi is all set to organize the Miss Sister Italy online contest on his blog this September. This of course means that all the Internet creeps and lurkers will get to pick and choose their favorite nun. Antonio is encouraging nuns to send in photos of themselves. I would love for them to have the bathing suit round but how blasphemous that would be considered! In any case the world is not ready for nuns in bathing suits and will have to settle for the fully covered versions of them. "Nuns are above all women and beauty is a gift from God," he told Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper. He also said, "This contest will be a way to show there isn't just the beauty we see on television but also a more discreet charm." It seems that the nuns are the ones who brainstormed the idea of this contest and he is merely conducting it.

Mirror, Mirror on the webcam…who is the prettiest of them all?

usb-mirror_cam.jpg
The USB Mirror Webcam is absolutely perfect for narcissists and attention seekers. I mean cmon, where else can you broadcast your self to the world and stare adoringly at your reflection in the broadcasting device at the same time. It has finally happened though. The webcam is 1.3 megapixel, so it is pretty standard. Aw shucks, you won't be able to dazzle the world with your high definition beauty. Another plus point is that you can fix the imperfections of your face while videoconferencing. Not that you would want to be caught with any imperfections in the first place. I'm not a big fan of mirrors, in fact I run away from them, but I absolutely love the 4 white LED lights around the mirror. It looks so hot when the lights are turned on. Oh and all the narcissists can feel like the spotlight is on them by turning on the lights.

Bally's Tennis Tote is anything but pretty in orange

arkel-tennis-tote.jpg I thought the tennis season was over, but it is still on at least for those who buy this Bally's tennis tote bag. I would never be caught dead with this tote due to its loud and bright colors. Tennis is all about subtle colors! Think of all the white that tennis players wear. The designers of the bag obviously overlooked that when they made it in a hideous pearl orange color. At least the top is conveniently accessible as it is left open. I guess I like the zippered pocket that is shaped like a pink tennis racquet head. This is where your real racquet goes too. The bag measures 15.5" H x 18" W x 4.5" D and has a 6.75" shoulder drop. The Italians are good at being mobsters, making pizza and being smooth talkers, but they are pretty darn horrible at making their tennis tote bags. Bally's leather tennis tote is very expensive at $1,095.

Crayola EZ Type keyboard adds color to your typing

crayola_eztype.jpg
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I tend to get my keyboard all dirty. This is because I always eat around it while chatting with my friends online. Crayola EZ Type keyboard is definitely god's gift to someone like me. The big colored keys will definitely hide all the food stains! It will also be a delight for all mothers, as it will keep their children pretty busy. Oh and the top useless row of function keys that no one ever uses has been removed. The escape key still exists though. Crayola EZ Type keyboard is available for $29.99 and the perfect gift for any kid and me.

Yellow pear-shaped bag from Tas-ka

tas-ka-bag.jpg
I always end up picking elegant and suave bags for myself. But this time I'm falling for the type I never thought I'd like. At first, I thought the Pear-shaped yellow bag from Tas-ka (A Dutch company), is too in-the-face. But almost instantaneously I replaced it with adjectives like cute, adorable, bright and refreshing. It's lined in two colors of woolfelt and I can already picture myself flaunting this accessory along with my red floral dress. The bag can be yours for $80.

Watch ring composed of watch guts can't tell time

watch_innards_ring_1.jpg
We all love designer watches and the bling bling that goes into it. But what if we were made to unbolt its nuts and knock open to view it's insides. They're as ugly as this: The watch ring. This watch ring is made up of parts of an old timepiece, which they say, is an epitome of creativity. But a bunch of few sensible folks and I go on to think otherwise. If you have a thing for scrap and junk, then the watch ring can be yours for $24 (inclusive of shipment) from the Weekend store.

A pillow that can vanish your wrinkles

sleeping-on-a-pillow.jpg Researchers have successfully developed a pillow case which is able to clear wrinkles. On conducting trials on volunteers it was found that those sleeping on the copper pillows were statistically more likely to have less wrinkles. The researchers believe that fabric does wonders on the face and has an impact on all lines but is best at ironing out the finer lines. Also moisture from the skin releases copper ions from the pillow cases which stimulate the production of collagen below the surface of the skin. Finally the researchers concluded that a few days of lying on a cooper pillow lines on the face started to soften.

El ranchero: Elegance in a bicycle

ei_ranchero.jpg
The idea of owning a bicycle is mingled with the romance of taking that early morning ride down the streets before the traffic and pollution takes over. This conceptual bike by Gary Fisher brings about that feeling of breathing in the morning air to life. It has provisions to carry your groceries home without needing to put up a balancing act. The bags are large and are present on either side of the rear tire. To carry your tiny tot around town for those delicious rides, the bike provides with an additional saddle at the back. The stand is pretty strong and gives the bike a majestic look as well. There’s another little bag that’s present on the handle to carry smaller items like documents, newspapers and everything that can be accommodated into an average handbag.

WowWee's Femisapien Robot sings and blows out kisses

femisapien-robots.jpg
You people like robots? Then check out WowWee's newest and first female robot. She is super cute! Femispaien is the name and it is awesome in a totally geeky way. She does what any robot these days should be able to do. She tilts her head. But this is for a purpose. The tilt position determines her funtion mode. First, I'll tell you about te Attentive Mode, in which she showers you with all the attention and plays the role of your side kick. She will slow pose, be your back-up singer, introduce herself, dance with you, and even blow kisses. Secondly, there are the joystick hands which can be moved in various directions. This little robot is loaded with features. She comes with 36 functions and 20 interactive routines, so you will constantly be entertained; there are also hidden functions to explore.

Lippi Selk'bag is the most mobile sleeping bag

lippi_selk'bag_1.jpg
It is summer and a lot of camping and barbeques are happening all over the place. Now camping obviously requires sleeping bags, so here is a funky one from Lippi. It is called the Lippi Selk'bag and it is available in 3 different versions to fit different requirements. This full body sleeping bag is designed to provide you with maximum mobility while also keeping you warm. Now you can get into the sleeping bag and move around to different places without hopping and your arms and legs won't be confined either. The only sad part is that how are you going to share the bag with anyone?! That is half the fun of camping out, we all know that. Generation 1 of the Selk'bag sold for $149 and it worked just fine. However, the second batch has been fine tuned a little. The price hasn't been tuned though, it is still the original one.

Self Service Smart Weighing Scale is the best thing to happen to supermarkets

smart-scale.jpg
When I hear about weighing scales, I feel uneasy because everytime I step one the numbers only seem to have shot up from the last time! Fortunately, the scale I'm gonna talk about isn't the one that adorns bathrooms or gyms, but ones that you find at the super market to weigh your groceries. This is a self service weighing scale that will eliminate the trouble of remembering the number tag for your groceries at the market. Fraunhofer Institute for Information and Data Processing IITB in Karlsruhe are the ones who have developed this ingenius machine. The innovative device automatically recognizes the item like fruit or vegetable kept on it and pops up the most appropriate on its touchscreen interface so that you can print out the price label with ease. This isn's magic, it is all the result of a built in intelligent camera which can tell the difference between an orange and apple, as well as the different varieties. And for a while, I was thinking that little people are sitting inside this scale! The self service smart scale is in beta mode at the moment in Europe. The rest of the world will have to wait, but at least we will be getting it kink free.

Gilli Kubrick's urban hand bag is hot and convenient and environment friendly

urban-troll-hand-bag1.jpg
Gilli Kubrick is a magician! He has designed the hottest urban hand bag I have ever seen and it is so good that I won't rest till i get my hands on one. Check out the colour combination, it is absolutely pretty. I love how pink is added to the design but subtly. However, it is not its looks that are the USP. It is all about how convenient this bag is. It can transform from a handbag to a trolley bag in a matter of seconds. The wheel is embedded in the bag and looks so stylish. Another selling point here is that the bag aims to take over the world in order to get rid of plasti bags! What a noble thought, but they are gonna have to design something for the men too. Now when you go shopping, you will have your own trolley too show off and that too in pink.
